Welcome to the future, and not just any future, YOUR FUTURE! Below is an account found in a REVERSE TIME CAPSULE from the future. It seems to be a holiday journal. ENJOY!!!!111!!11!!
37th June 2033
YAY! The joint presidents of the world, The Kings of Leon, have chosen the anniversary of the nuclear holocaust that wiped out most of humanity, to be an international holiday! Nathan and Caleb were deadlocked against it, but as usual, Jared was able to convince Nathan and they won a majority in the Parliamentary Studio, where they are working on their new album, and rebuilding legislation for our ravaged, toxic society.
Closing my iTabletPhone, I said kthxbai to my Professor and ran out of Teh 1337 Institute of Teh Internetz.gov and got the lead-lined bus home. I almost missed my stop since we don’t have any windows and just have to guess by time, but I got it just about. Running through the lead tunnels to the family cave, I give the mutant-proof knock on the door and Father let me in, though it was touch and go, ’cause he and my mum were a bit worse for wear, they’d clearly been on smack all day. I’d have said something, but it was a Sunday, they work hard all week. I joined them for a quick spike and woke up in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
Dad was already at work, Mum was making some dessert for breakfast, and little Nathan was giggling away to himself. He’d been up coughing all night, but Dad had given him some marajuana to help him sleep. I sleepily sprinkled some cocaine on my cereal even though I didn’t really like it, but since President Jared outlawed coffee and President Caleb legalised all previously illegal narcotics, it was about the only way to get things done.
I told Mum about the holiday, but of course she’d already heard all about it in their weekly news EP. I was trying to decide where to go. I’m not sure how it took me so long, since there were only a handful of options still open. In the end I decided to go to the Electronic Olympics since it was just a 9 hour groundplane away.
I said Kthxbai to my folks and set off on the open road…in a tunnel…
